سقل: السُّقْل: لغة في الصُّقْل، وهي الخاصِرَة. والسَّقَل في اليد:

كالصَّدَف، سَقِلَ سَقَلاً، وهو أَسْقَل. اليزيدي: هو السَّيْقَل

والصَّيْقَل. وسَيْفٌ سَقِيل وصَقِيل؛ الأَزهري: والصاد في جميع ذلك

أَفصح.
