زَعْبُوب: غبيراء، وشجرة الغبيراء (برجرن). ويقول بركهارت (سوريا ص275): أن أهل دمشق يطلقون هذا الاسم على ثمر الزعرور. وفي محيط المحيط: والزَعبوب (عند العامة) نوع من الزعرور صغير الثمر.
