زيي: الزّاي والزاء لغتان، فالزّاي ألفها يرجع في التّصريف إلى الياء، فتكون من تأليف زاي وياءين، وتصغيرها: زُيَيَّة. والزِّيّ: حُسْنُ الهيئة من اللباس، [يقال] : تزيّا فلانٌ بزيّ حَسَن، وقد زَيَّيْتُهُ تَزِيّةً.
