(زَوَقَ) الزَّاءُ وَالْوَاوُ وَالْقَافُ لَيْسَ بِشَيْءٍ. وَقَوْلُهُمْ زَوَّقْتُ الشَّيْءَ إِذَا زَيَّنْتَهُ وَمَوَّهْتَهُ، لَيْسَ بِأَصْلٍ، يَقُولُونَ إِنَّهُ مِنَ الزَّاوُوقِ، وَهُوَ الزِّئْبَقُ. وَكُلُّ هَذَا كَلَامٌ.
