(زَغَمَ) الزَّاءُ وَالْغَيْنُ وَالْمِيمُ أُصَيْلٌ يَدُلُّ عَلَى تَرْدِيدِ صَوْتٍ خَفِيٍّ. قَالُوا: تَزَغَّمَ الْجَمَلُ، إِذَا رَدَّدَ رُغَاءَهُ فِي خَفَاءٍ لَيْسَ شَدِيدًا. وَمِنْهُ التَّزَغُّمُ، وَهُوَ التَّغَضُّبُ، كَأَنَّهُ فِي غَضَبِهِ يُرَدِّدُ صَوْتًا فِي نَفْسِهِ. وَذَكَرَ نَاسٌ: تَزَغَّمَ الْفَصِيلُ لِأُمِّهِ، إِذَا حَنَّ حَنِينًا خَفِيًّا.
