(زَحَلَ) الزَّاءُ وَالْحَاءُ وَاللَّامُ أَصْلٌ يَدُلُّ عَلَى التَّنَحِّي. يُقَالُ زَحَلَ عَنْ مَكَانِهِ، إِذَا تَنَحَّى. وَزَحَلَتِ النَّاقَةُ فِي سَيْرِهَا. وَالْمَزْحَلُ: الْمَوْضِعُ الَّذِي تَزْحَلُ إِلَيْهِ.
