[زحل] فيه: غزونا معه صلى الله عليه وسلم فكان رجل من المشركين يدقنا و"يزحلنا" من ورائنا، أي ينحينا، زحل من مكانه وتزحل إذا زال عنه، ويروى: يزجلنا - بجيم، أي يرمينا، ويروى: يدفنا - بفاء من الدف السير. ومنه ح: فلما أقيمت الصلاة "زحل" وقال: ما كنت أتقدم رجلًا من أهل بدر، أي تأخر ولم يؤم القوم. وح: فلما رآه "زحل" له. وح ابن المسيب قال لقتادة: "ازحل" عني فقد نزحتني، أي أنفدت ما عندي. غ: سمى لبعده زحل.

(زَحَلَ) الزَّاءُ وَالْحَاءُ وَاللَّامُ أَصْلٌ يَدُلُّ عَلَى التَّنَحِّي. يُقَالُ زَحَلَ عَنْ مَكَانِهِ، إِذَا تَنَحَّى. وَزَحَلَتِ النَّاقَةُ فِي سَيْرِهَا. وَالْمَزْحَلُ: الْمَوْضِعُ الَّذِي تَزْحَلُ إِلَيْهِ.
