ز ج ر: (الزَّجْرُ) الْمَنْعُ وَالنَّهْيُ وَ (زَجَرَهُ فَانْزَجَرَ) وَ (ازْدَجَرَهُ) (فَازْدَجَرَ) . وَ (الزَّجْرُ) أَيْضًا الْعِيَافَةُ وَهُوَ ضَرْبٌ مِنَ التَّكَهُّنِ. تَقُولُ: (زَجَرْتُ) أَنْ يَكُونَ كَذَا وَكَذَا. وَ (زَجَرَ) الْبَعِيرَ سَاقَهُ وَبَابُ الثَّلَاثَةِ نَصَرَ.
