أرهمت السماء: جاءت بالرهام والرهم، ووقعت رهمة: مطرة ليّنة صغيرة القطر. وروضة مرهومة. قال ذو الرمة:

أو نفحة من أعالي حنوة معجت ... فيها الصبا موهناً والروض مرهوم وقد رهمت الأرض. وتقول: مراهم الغوادي مراهم البوادي. ونزلنا بفلان فكنا في أرهم جانبيه: في أخصبهما.
