(رَمَكَ) الرَّاءُ وَالْمِيمُ وَالْكَافُ أَصْلَانِ: أَحَدُهُمَا لَوْنٌ مِنَ الْأَلْوَانِ، وَالثَّانِي لُبْثٌ بِمَكَانٍ. فَالْأَوَّلُ الرُّمْكَةُ مِنْ أَلْوَانِ الْإِبِلِ، وَهُوَ أَشَدُّ كُدْرَةً مِنَ الْوُرْقَةِ. وَيُقَالُ جَمَلٌ أَرْمَكُ. وَمِنْهُ اشْتِقَاقُ الرَّامَِكِ. وَالرَّمَكَةُ: الْأُنْثَى مِنَ الْبَرَاذِينِ. وَالْأَصْلُ الْآخَرُ: رَمَكَ بِالْمَكَانِ، وَهُوَ رَامِكٌ.
