[رعز] المرعزى: الزغب الذى تحت شعر العنز، وهو مفعلى، لان فعللى لم يجئ، وإنما كسروا الميم اتباعا لكسرة العين، كما قالوا منخر ومنتن. وكذلك المرعزاء، إذا خففت مددت، وإن شددت قصرت، وإن شئت فتحت الميم. وقد تحذف الالف فيقال مرعز.
