(رَطَنَ) الرَّاءُ وَالطَّاءُ وَالنُّونُ بِنَاءٌ لَيْسَ بِالْمُحْكَمِ وَلَا لَهُ قِيَاسٌ فِي كَلَامِهِمْ، إِلَّا أَنَّهُمْ يَقُولُونَ: تَرَاطَنُوا، إِذَا أَتَوْا بِكَلَامٍ لَا يُفْهَمُ; وَيُخَصُّ بِذَلِكَ الْعَجَمُ. قَالَ:

فَأَثَارَ فَارِطُهُمْ غَطَاطًا جُثَّمًا ... أَصْوَاتُهُ كَتَرَاطُنِ الْفُرْس ِ

وَيُقَالُ الرَّطَّانَةُ: الْإِبِلُ مَعَهَا أَهْلُهَا. قَالَ:

رَطَّانَةٌ مَنْ يَلْقَهَا يُخَيَّبِ
