رسن: رسان: اسم نوع من النسيج، ففي الحلل (ص9 ق): ألف شقَّة من الرسان، هكذا كتبت الكلمة في ثلاث مخطوطات. وفي المقري (2: 711): الرصان.
رُسَّان (بالإسبانية ricin) وتجمع على رَسَاسين: كديش صغير (ألكالا).
راسَن: الراسن المصري (باين سميث 1013).

(رَسَنَ) الرَّاءُ وَالسِّينُ وَالنُّونُ أَصْلٌ وَاحِدٌ اشْتَرَكَ فِيهِ الْعَرَبُ وَالْعَجَمُ، وَهُوَ الرَّسَنُ، وَالْجَمْعُ أَرْسَانٌ. وَالْمَرْسِنُ: الَّذِي يَقَعُ عَلَيْهِ الرَّسَنُ مِنْ أَنْفِ النَّاقَةِ، ثُمَّ كَثُرَ حَتَّى قِيلَ مَرْسِنُ الْإِنْسَانِ. وَرَسَنْتُ الرَّجُلَ وَأَرْسَنْتُهُ: شَدَدْتُهُ بِالرَّسَنِ.
