(ذَهَنَ) الذَّالُ وَالْهَاءُ وَالنُّونُ أَصْلٌ يَدُلُّ عَلَى قُوَّةٍ. يُقَالُ مَا بِهِ ذِهْنٌ، أَيْ قُوَّةٌ. قَالَ أَوْسٌ:

أَنُوءُ بِرَجُلٍ بِهَا ذِهْنُهَا ... وَأَعْيَتْ بِهَا أُخْتُهَا الْغَابِرَهْ

وَالذِّهْنُ: الْفِطْنَةُ لِلشَّيْءِ وَالْحِفْظُ لَهُ. وَكَذَلِكَ الذَّهَنُ.

وَاللَّهُ أَعْلَمُ بِالصَّوَابِ.
