ذعب: قال الأَصمعي: رأَيتُ القومَ مُذْعابِّينَ، كأَنهم عُرْفُ

ضِبْعانٍ، ومُثْعابِّين، بمعناه، وهو أَن يَتْلُوَ بعضُهم بعضاً. قال الأَزهري: وهذا عنْدي مأْخوذٌ من انْثَعَبَ الماءُ وانْذَعَب إِذا سال واتَّصَلَ جَرَيانُه في النَّهَر، قُلِبَتِ الثاءُ ذالاً.
