(ذَرَحَ) الذَّالُ وَالرَّاءُ وَالْحَاءُ مُعْظَمُ بَابِهِ أَصْلٌ وَاحِدٌ، وَهُوَ تَفْرِيقُ الشَّيْءِ عَلَى الشَّيْءِ يَكْسُوهُ صِبْغًا. يُقَالُ ذَرَّحْتُ الزَّعْفَرَانَ فِي الْمَاءِ، إِذَا جَعَلْتَ فِيهِ شَيْئًا مِنْهُ يَسِيرًا. ثُمَّ يُقَالُ أَحْمَرُ ذَرِيحِيٌّ، كَأَنَّ الْحُمْرَةَ ذُرِّحَتْ عَلَيْهِ. وَالذَّرِيحُ: فَحْلٌ يُنْسَبُ إِلَيْهِ الْإِبِلُ. وَمُمْكِنٌ أَنْ يَكُونَ ذَلِكَ لِلَوْنِهِ، كَمَا يُقَالُ أَحْمَرُ. قَالَ:

مِنَ الذَّرِيحِيَّاتِ ضَخْمًا آرِكًا

وَالذَّرَائِحُ: الْهِضَابُ، وَاحِدَتُهَا ذَرِيحَةٌ. وَقَدْ يُمْكِنُ أَنْ تُسَمَّى بِذَلِكَ لِلَوْنِهَا. قَالَ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ {وَمِنَ الْجِبَالِ جُدَدٌ بِيضٌ وَحُمْرٌ} [فاطر: 27] .

وَمِنَ الْبَابِ أَيْضًا: الذَّرَارِيحُ، وَاحِدَتُهَا ذُرُّوحَةٌ وَذُرَّاحَةٌ وَذُرَحْرَحَةٌ. يُقَالُ ذَرَّحَ طَعَامَهُ، إِذَا جَعَلَ فِيهِ ذَلِكَ. وَحَكَى نَاسٌ: عَسَلٌ مُذَرَّحٌ، أُكْثِرَ عَلَيْهِ الْمَاءُ.

وَاللَّهُ أَعْلَمُ بِالصَّوَابِ.
