بالضم، وبعد القاف ألف، وتاء مثناة من فوقها، وآخره شين معجمة: موضع بصعيد مصر من كورة البهنسا، كان فيه وقعة بين معاوية بن حديج وأصحاب محمد بن أبي حذيفة في مقتل عثمان، رضي الله عنه.
