دَام (و)(n. ac. دَوْم
دَوَاْم
دَيْمُوْمَة )
a. Lasted, continued, endured, remained.
b. Stopped, stood still.

دَوَّمَa. Circled, turned round ( bird, sun ).
b. Rendered giddy (wine).
c. Made to turn round, spun (top).
d. Moistened, sprinkled; threw cold water into a
cooking-pot when boiling.
e. Rained incessantly.

دَاْوَمَa. Waited, paused; granted to, or asked of, a delay or
extension, continuation of a thing.
b. ['Ala], Persevered, kept on with.
أَدْوَمَa. Made to last, endure, continue; rendered permanent
perpetual.

تَدَوَّمَa. Waited for; was awaiting, expecting.

إِسْتَدْوَمَa. see III (a)
