الدَّعْكَسَة: لَعِبٌ للمجوس يسمُّونه الدَّسْتَبَنْدَ. وقال الليث: الدَّعْكَسَة لَعِبُ المجوس، يَدورونَ قد أخَذَ بعضُهم يَدَ بعضٍ كالرَّقصِ، يقال: دَعْكَسُوا وهم يُدَعْكِسون ويَتَدَعْكَسُون؛ بعضُهم على بعض، قال:
طافُوا به مُعتَكِفِيْنَ نُكَّسا ... عَكْفَ المَجُوْسِ يَلْعَبُوْنَ الدَّعْكسَا
