دَرْبَانٌ (K) and دِرْبَانٌ and دُرْبَانٌ (Kr, TA) sings. of دَرَابِنَةٌ, (K, TA,) which signifies Door-keepers, or gate-keepers: [the sing. is] Persian, [originally دَرْبَانْ,] arabicized. (S, K.)
