خَلبص
. خَلْبَصَ خَلْبَصَةً: هَرَبَ وفَرَّ، قَالَ عُبَيْدٌ المُرِّيّ:
(لَمّا رَآنِي بالبَرَازِ حَصْحَصَا ... فِي الأَرْضِ مِنِّي هَرَباً وخَلْبَصَا)
والخَلَبُوصُ، مُحَرَّكَةً: طائِرٌ أَصْغَرُ مِنَ العُصْفُورِ، بلَوْنِه، سُمِّيَ بِهِ لِكَثْرَةِ هَرَبه، وعَدَمِ اسْتِقْرَارِه فِي مَوْضِعٍ، ومِنْهُ سُمِّيَ الرَّجُلُ الطَّرّارُ خَلَبُوصاً.
