(خ ي ل) : (الْخَيْلُ) اسْمُ جَمْعٍ لِلْعِرَابِ وَالْبَرَاذِينِ ذُكُورِهَا وَإِنَاثِهَا.

وَأَخَالَ عَلَيْهِ الشَّيْءُ اشْتَبَهَ وَأَشْكَلَ وَكَلَامٌ مُخِيلٌ مُشْكِلٌ وَرَجُلٌ أَخْيَلُ فِي وَجْهِهِ خَالٌ وَهُوَ بَثْرَةٌ إلَى السَّوَادِ تَكُونُ فِي الْوَجْه وَالْجَمْعُ خِيلَانٌ.
