والخَناطِيلُ مثل العَبادِيدِ جَماعاتٌ في تَفْرِقةٍ، ولا واحد لها.

خَنط
خَنَطَهُ يَخْنِطُه من حَدِّ ضَرَبَ، أَهْمَلَهُ الجَوْهَرِيّ، وَقَالَ ابنُ دُرَيْدٍ: أَي كَرَبَهُ. وَقَالَ ابْن الأَعْرَابِيّ، كَمَا فِي التَّكْمِلَة، وَفِي العُبَاب: قالَ الكِسَائِيّ: الخَنَاطِيطُ، زادَ فِي التَّهذيب: والخَنَاطِيلُ: الجَماعاتُ المُتَفَرِّقَةُ، وَفِي التَّهذيبِ: جَماعاتٌ فِي تَفْرِقَةٍ، مِثْلُ العَبَابِيدِ، لَا واحِدَ لَهَا من لَفْظِها.

(خَنَطَ) الْخَاءُ وَالنُّونُ وَالطَّاءُ كَلِمَةٌ لَيْسَتْ أَصْلًا، وَهِيَ مِنْ بَابِ الْإِبْدَالِ. يُقَالُ خَنَطَهُ: إِذَا كَرَبَهُ، مِثْلُ غَنَطَهُ، وَلَيْسَ بِشَيْءٍ.
