خَندل
الخَنْدَلَةُ أهمله الجوهريّ والصاغانيّ، وَفِي المُحكَم: هُوَ امْتِلاءُ الجِسم والدَّالُ مُهملَة. قلت: والصَّواب أَن النُّونَ زائدةٌ، وأصلُه الخَدْلُ، من قَوْلهم: ساقٌ خَدْلةٌ: إِذا كَانَت مُمتَلِئَة اللَّحْمِ.
