خَصَبَ
خَصِبَ(n. ac. خِصْب)
a. Was fertile, productive.

خَصَّبَa. Rendered fertile, fertilized.

أَخْصَبَa. see Ib. Had abundance.
c. Lived in a fertile country.

خَصْبَة
(pl.
خِصَاْب)
a. Productive palm-tree.

(خَصَبَ)
فِيهِ ذِكْرُ «الْخِصْب» مُتَكَرِّرًا فِي غَيْرِ مَوْضِعٍ، وَهُوَ ضِدُّ الْجَدْبِ. أَخْصَبَتِ الْأَرْضُ، وأَخْصَبَ الْقَوْمُ، وَمَكَانٌ مُخْصِبٌ وخَصِيبٌ.
(هـ) وَفِي حَدِيثِ وَفْدِ عَبدِ القَيسِ «فأقْبَلْنا مِنْ وِفَادَتِنا، وإنَّما كَانَتْ عِنْدَنَا خَصْبَةٌ نَعْلِفها إبِلَنَا وحَميرَنا» الْخَصْبَةُ: الدَّقَل، وَجَمْعُهَا خِصَابٌ. وَقِيلَ هِيَ النَّخْلَةُ الْكَثِيرَةُ الحَمْلِ.
