(خَشَرَ) الْخَاءُ وَالشِّينُ وَالرَّاءُ يَدُلُّ عَلَى رَدَاءَةٍ وَدُونٍ. فَالْخُشَارَةُ: مَا بَقِيَ [عَلَى] الْمَائِدَةِ، مِمَّا لَا خَيْرَ فِيهِ. يُقَالُ خَشَرْتُ أَخْشِرُ خَشْرًا، إِذَا بَقَّيْتَ الرَّدِيَّ. وَيُقَالُ الْخُشَارَةُ مِنَ الشَّعِيرِ: مَا لَا لُبَ لَهُ، فَهُوَ كَالنُّخَالَةِ. وَإِنَّ فُلَانًا لَمِنْ خُشَارَةِ النَّاسِ، أَيْ رُذَالِهِمْ.
