[حقد] الحِقْدُ: الضِغْن، والجمع أَحْقادٌ. وتقول: حَقَدَ عليه يَحْقِد حِقْداً، وحَقِد عليه بالكسر حَقَداً لغة. وأَحْقَدَهُ غيره. ورجل حَقود. وأَحْقَدَ القومُ، إذا طلبوا من المَعْدِن شيئا فلم يجدوا. وهذا الحرف نقلته من كتاب ولم أسمعه.

(حَقَدَ) الْحَاءُ وَالْقَافُ وَالدَّالُ أَصْلَانِ: أَحَدُهُمَا الضِّغْنُ، وَالْآخَرُ أَلَّا يُوجَدُ مَا يَطْلُبُ.

فَالْأَوَّلُ الْحِقْدُ، وَيُجْمَعُ عَلَى الْأَحْقَادِ. وَالْآخَرُ قَوْلُهُمْ أَحَقَدَ الْقَوْمُ، إِذْ طَلَبُوا الذَّهَبَةَ فِي الْمَعْدِنِ فَلَمْ يَجِدُوهَا.
