حضج انْحَضَجَ الرَّجُلُ: ضَرَبَ بنَفْسِه الأرْضَ غَضَباً. وحَضَجْتُه أنا: أدْخَلْتُ عليه ما يَكادُ يَنْشَقُّ منه. والحِضْجُ: الماءُ اللاّزِقُ في أسْفَلِ الحَوْضِ. والحَضْجُ: بَقِيَّةُ الماءِ. والحِضْجُ: النّاحِيَةُ، وجَمْعُه: أحْضَاجٌ. والمَحْضَجُ: مَدْفَعُ الوادي. وانْحَضَجَ الوادي: إِذا امْتَدَّ. وانْحَضَجَتْ خاصِرَتُه: اسْتَرْخَتْ. وانْحَضَجُوا عن الطَّريقِ: عَدَلُوا عنه. وحَضَجَ البَعيرُ حِمْلَه حَضْجاً: طَرَحَه. وحَضَجْتُ بالرَّجُلِ: صَرَعْتَه. وحَضَجْتُ النّارَ: مِثْلُ حَضَأْتُها. والحِضَاجُ: الزِّقُّ الضَّخْمُ المُسْنَدُ إِلى شَيْءٍ. والحُضَاجُ من الرِّجَالِ: المُتَقَوِّسُ الظَّهْرِ الخارِجُ البَطْنِ. والتَّحْضِيْجُ: شِبْهُ التَّضْجِيْعِ في الكلام.
