(جَهَفَ) الْجِيمُ وَالْهَاءُ وَالْفَاءُ لَيْسَ أَصْلًا، إِنَّمَا هُوَ مِنْ بَابِ الْإِبْدَالِ. يُقَالُ اجْتَهَفْتُ الشَّيْءَ إِذَا أَخَذْتَهُ بِشِدَّةٍ. وَالْأَصْلُ اجْتَحَفْتُ. وَقَدْ مَضَى ذِكْرُهُ.
