رجل جَظّ: ضخم، وَفِي الحَدِيث: " أبغضكم إِلَيّ الجَظُّ الجَعْظ ". وَقد تقدم.

الجَظُّ: الضَّخْمُ. وفي الحَدِيث: " أهْلُ النارِ كلُّ جَظٍّ جَعْظٍ مُسْتَكْبِرٍ ".
وجَظَّه بالغُصَّة يَجُظُّه: مِثْلُ كَظَّه.
والجَظُّ: الاسْتِقْفَاءُ بالطَّرْدِ. وهو النِّكاحُ - أيضاً -، من قول مالكِ بن زَيْدٍ لامْرَأتِه النَّوَارِ: أتَدَعِيْني أجُظَكِ تجَظًةً أو جَظَّتَيْن وألْحَق بإبِلي.
