جملج: اسم القريص المنتن في الأندلس (ابن البيطار 2: 229) وعند سونثيمر: الجملح غير إنه في المخطوطة: الجملج يجيمين. وقد ذكر بوشر هذه الكلمة في معجمه وذكر ابن جلجل أن الاسم اللاتيني هو جملجوا ثم اتبعه بالصفة العربية المنتن.
