الجَمْظُ: أَهْمَلَهُ الجَوْهَرِيُّ، والمُصَنِّف وصاحِبُ اللّسَان. وَقَالَ ابنُ عَبّادٍ: هُوَ الخَنْقُ والرَّبْطُ. يُقَالُ: مَا كَانَ مَجْمُوظاً، أَي مَا كَانَ مَرْبُوطاً، نَقَلَه الصّاغَانِيُّ.
