ثرم: الثَّرَمُ: مَصْدَرُ الأَثْرَمِ، أثْرَمْتُ الرَّجُلَ فَثَرِمَ، وثَرَمْتُه أيضاً.
وثَرَمْتُ ثَنِيَّتَه فانْثَرَمَتْ: أي انْكَسَرَتْ.
والثِّرَامُ: الثُّلْمَةُ في الشَّيْءِ.
والثَّرْمُ: نضحْو الثَّلْمِ.

ثَرَمُ:
بالتحريك: وهو اسم جبل باليمامة قال زياد ابن منقذ من قصيدة الحماسة:
والوشم قد خرجت منه وقابلها ... من الثنايا التي لم أقلها ثرم
اتفق لشاعر هذا البيت اتفاق عجيب، وهو أن الثّرم سقوط الثنية، وهو مقدّم الأسنان، وجمعها ثنايا، والثنيّة وجمعها ثنايا أيضا: كلّ منفرج بين جبلين، والثّرم: اسم بعينه، وهو الذي أراده الشاعر فاتفق له من هذا التوجيه ما يعزّ مثله.

(س) فِيهِ «نَهَى أَنْ يُضَحَّى بالثَّرْماء» الثَّرَم: سُقوط الثَّنِيَّة مِنَ الْأَسْنَانِ. وَقِيلَ الثَّنِيَّةُ وَالرَّبَاعِيَّةُ. وَقِيلَ هُوَ أَنْ تَنْقَلع السِّنُّ مِنْ أَصْلِهَا مُطْلقا، وَإِنَّمَا نَهَى عَنْهَا لنُقْصان أكْلِها.
(س) وَمِنْهُ الْحَدِيثُ فِي صِفَة فِرْعَوْنَ «أَنَّهُ كَانَ أَثْرَم» .

(ثَرْمٌ) الثَّاءُ وَالرَّاءُ وَالْمِيمُ كَلِمَةٌ وَاحِدَةٌ يُشْتَقُّ مِنْهَا، يُقَالُ ثَرَمْتُ الرَّجُلَ فَثَرِمَ، وَثَرَمْتُ ثَنِيَّتَهُ فَانْثَرَمَتْ. وَالثَّرْمَاءُ: مَاءٌ لِكِنْدَةَ.
