تُوبَنُ:
بالضم ثم السكون، وفتح الباء الموحدة، في آخره نون: من قرى نسف بما وراء النهر منها الأمير الدهقان أبو بكر محمد بن محمد بن جعفر بن العباس التوبني، سمع أبا يعلى عبد المؤمن بن خلف النّسفي، توفي سنة 380 وجماعة كثيرة ينسبون إلى توبن.
