تَرْياق:
زنخ، سنخ، قنه (الكالا)، والكالا يذكر في نفس المعنى: قليل أي أتتريُق وُمتَرْيق. والفعل أتريق فيه معناه: زنخ أو صار زنخا.

تِرْيَاقُ:
بالكسر، وهو بلفظ الدواء المركب النافع من السموم وغيرها: من قرى هراة منها أبو نصر عبد العزيز بن محمد بن ثمامة الترياقي، روى عن أبي محمد عبد الجبار بن محمد بن عبد الله الجرّاحي المروزي وأبي القاسم إبراهيم بن علي وغيرهما من الهرويّين، روى عنه أبو الفتح عبد الملك بن عبد الله الكروخي، وهو آخر من حدّث عنه ببغداد، وأبو جعفر حنبل بن علي بن الحسين الصوفي السّجزي وغيره، مات الترياقي في شهر رمضان سنة 483 بهراة ودفن بباب خشك قاله أبو سعد.
