(هـ) فِي كِتَابِهِ لِوَائِلِ بْنِ حُجْر «والتِّيمَة لِصَاحِبِهَا» التِّيمَة بِالْكَسْرِ: الشَّاة الزَّائدة عَلَى الْأَرْبَعِينَ حَتَّى تَبْلُغ الْفَرِيضَةَ الْأُخْرَى. وَقِيلَ هِيَ الشَّاةُ تَكُونُ لِصَاحِبِهَا فِي مَنْزِلِهِ يَحْتَلِبها وليْسَتْ بِسَائمة.
وَفِي قَصِيدِ كَعْبِ بْنِ زُهَيْرٍ.
مُتَيَّم إثْرَهَا لَمْ يُفْد مَكْبُولُ
أَيْ مُعَبَّدٌ مُذلَّل وتَيَّمَهُ الحبُّ: إِذَا اسْتَوْلَى عَلَيْهِ.

(تَيَّمَ) التَّاءُ وَالْيَاءُ وَالْمِيمُ أَصْلٌ وَاحِدٌ، وَهُوَ التَّعْبِيدُ. يُقَالُ تَيَّمَهُ الْحُبُّ إِذَا اسْتَعْبَدَهُ. قَالَ أَهْلُ اللُّغَةِ: وَمِنْهُ تَيْمُ اللَّهِ، أَيْ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ.

وَمِمَّا شَذَّ عَنْ هَذَا الْبَابِ التِّيمَةُ، وَهِيَ الشَّاةُ الزَّائِدَةُ عَلَى الْأَرْبَعِينَ، وَيُقَالُ بَلْ هِيَ الشَّاةُ يَحْتَلِبُهَا الرَّجُلُ فِي مَنْزِلِهِ. وَاالرَّجُلُ إِذَا ذَبَحَ تِيَمَتَهُ. قَالَ الْحُطَيْئَةُ:

فَمَا تَتَّامُ جَارَةُ آلِ لَأْيٍ ... وَلَكِنْ يَضْمَنُونَ لَهَا قِرَاهَا
