[تنن] التن بالسكر: الحتن. يقال: فلانٌ تِنُّ فلانٍ، وهما تِنَّانِ. قال ابن السكيت: أي هما مستويان في عقلٍ، أو ضعفٍ أو شدة، أو مروؤة. وأتن المرضُ الصبيّ، إذا قَصَعَهُ فهو لا يشبُّ. والتِنِّينُ: ضربٌ من الحيّات. والتِنِّينُ: موضعٌ في السماء.
