بَرْواز وبرواس: (من الفارسية برواز) ويجمع على براويز إِطار (ضرب من الحواشي الخشبية تحاط بها الصورة).
وإطار في نافذة أو لوحة يضعه النجار ليثبت فيه الزجاج أو الصورة أو ما يصور عليه المصور من قماش.
اللوحة نفسها وهي كل صنعة ذات إطار (بوشر).
