أتينا بني فلان فبهشوا إلينا إذا أقبلوا إليهم مسرورين ضاحكين: وبهش إليه الذئب والحية إذا أقبل عليه يقصده. وأنت كالباهش الناهش. وأنت كالحية تبهش، ثم تنهش. وفلان من أهل البهش أي من أهل الحجاز، لأن البهش وهو المقل الرطب ينهت به.
