(بَغَضَ) الْبَاءُ وَالْغَيْنُ وَالضَّادُ أَصْلٌ وَاحِدٌ، وَهُوَ يَدُلُّ عَلَى خِلَافِ الْحُبِّ. يُقَالُ: أَبْغَضْتُهُ أُبْغِضُهُ. فَأَمَّا قَوْلُهُ: وَمِنَ الْعَوَادِي أَنْ تَقَتْكَ بِبِغْضَةٍ ... وَتَقَاذُفٍ مِنْهَا وَأَنَّكَ تُرْقَبُ

فَقِيلَ الْبِغْضَةُ الْأَعْدَاءُ، وَقِيلَ أَرَادَ ذَوِي بِغْضَةٍ. وَرُبَّمَا قَالُوا بَغُضَ جَدُّهُ، كَقَوْلِهِمْ عَثَرَ. وَاللَّهُ أَعْلَمُ.
