ب ر ذ ن : الْبِرْذَوْنُ بِالذَّالِ الْمُعْجَمَةِ قَالَ ابْنُ الْأَنْبَارِيِّ يَقَعُ عَلَى الذَّكَرِ وَالْأُنْثَى وَرُبَّمَا قَالُوا فِي الْأُنْثَى بِرْذَوْنَةٌ قَالَ ابْنُ فَارِسٍ بَرْذَنَ الرَّجُلُ بَرْذَنَةً إذَا ثَقُلَ وَاشْتِقَاقُ الْبِرْذَوْنِ مِنْهُ قَالَ الْمُطَرِّزِيُّ الْبِرْذَوْنُ التُّرْكِيُّ مِنْ الْخَيْلِ وَهُوَ خِلَافُ الْعِرَابِ وَجَعَلُوا النُّونَ أَصْلِيَّةً كَأَنَّهُمْ لَاحَظُوا التَّعْرِيبَ وَقَالُوا فِي الْحِرْذَوْنِ نُونُهُ زَائِدَةٌ لِأَنَّهُ عَرَبِيٌّ فَقِيَاسُ الْبِرْذَوْنِ عِنْدَ مَنْ يَحْمِلُ الْمُعَرَّبَةَ عَلَى الْعَرَبِيَّةِ زِيَادَةُ النُّونِ.
