والبَخَنْداة والخَبَنْداة من النساءِ: التامة القَصب الرَّيَّاءُ،؛ وفي حديث

أَبي هريرة أَن العجّاج أَنشده:

قامت تُريك، خَشْيَةَ أَن تَصرِما،

ساقاً بَخَنْداةً، وكَعْباً أَدْرَما

وكذلك البَخَنْدى والخَبَنْدى، والياء للإِلحاق بسفرجل؛ قال العجاج:

إِلى خَبَنْدى قصَبٍ ممكور
