بثأ: بَثَاءُ: مَوضِعُ مَعْرُوفٌ. أَنشدَ الـمُفَضَّلُ:

بِنَفْسِيَ ماءُ عَبْشَمْسِ بنِ سَعْدٍ، * غَداةَ بَثَاءَ، إِذْ عَرَفُوا اليَقِينا

وقد ذكرهُ الجوهريُّ في بثا من المعتلِّ. قال ابنُ بَرِّي فهذا موضعه.
