الْكَاتِب: من يكْتب ويخط الْخط وشاع اسْتِعْمَال الْكِتَابَة فِي عرف البلغاء فِي تأليف كَلَام منثور حسن فالكاتب عِنْدهم من يؤلف كلَاما منثورا حسنا وَهُوَ المنشئ فِي عرفنَا يُقَال كَاتب فصيح أَي منشئ فصيح.
