الْعَارِض: للشَّيْء الْخَارِج عَنهُ الْمَحْمُول عَلَيْهِ كالضحك للْإنْسَان وَهُوَ أَعم من الْعرض إِذْ يُقَال للجوهر عَارض لَا عرض كالصورة الجسمية فَإِنَّهُ يُقَال لَهَا أَنَّهَا تعرض على الهيولى.
