الْبغاء: بِفَتْح الأول وَتَشْديد الثَّانِي فعال من الْبَغي بِمَعْنى الظُّلم وَبِمَعْنى الزِّنَا. وَفِي عرف النَّاس الْبغاء المخنث. وَفِي شرح الْوِقَايَة الْبغاء من شتم الْعَوام يتفقون بِهِ فَلَا يعْرفُونَ مَا يَقُولُونَ وَلِهَذَا يعز ربه.
