الوَصيُّ: شرعاً من يقام لأجل الحفظ والتصرّف في مال الرجل وأطفاله بعد الموت. والفرقُ بين الوصي والقَيّم: أن الوصي يفوض إليه الحفظُ والتصرف والقيم يفوض إليه الحفظ دون التصرف.
