الوَدَجان: تثنية الوَدَج وهما عرقن عظيمان في جانبي قدام العتق وبينهما الحلقومُ والمَرِيءُ وهو مجرى الطعام والشراب وفي "المصباح": "الوَدَج: عرق الأخدع الذي يقطعه الذابح فلا يبقى معه حياة".
