الوَثْيُ: الْوَثْءُ. ووُثِيَتْ يَدُهُ، بالضم،
فهي مَوْثِيَّةٌ، أي: مَوْثُوءَةٌ.
والوُثَى، كالهُدَى: الأَوْجاعُ.
وأوْثَى الرجلُ: انْكَسَرَ به مَرْكَبُهُ من حَيَوانٍ أو سَفِينَةٍ.
والمِيثاءَةُ: المِرْزَبَّةُ.
