الوسِيلَةُ والواسِلَةُ: المَنْزِلَةُ عند المَلِكِ، والدَّرَجَةُ، والقُرْبَةُ.
وَوَسَّلَ إلى الله تعالى توسيلاً: عَمِلَ عَمَلاً تَقَرَّبَ به إليه،
كتَوَسَّلَ.
والواسِلُ: الواجِبُ، والراغِبُ إلى الله تعالى.
والتَّوَسُّلُ: السَّرِقَةُ.
يقالَ: أخذَ إبِلِي تَوَسُّلاً، أي: سَرِقَةً.
ومُوَيْسِلٌ: ماءٌ لطَيِّئٍ.
وأُمُّ مَوْسِلٍ، كمَنْزِلٍ: هَضْبَةٌ.
وأوْسِلَةُ: هي هَمْدان.
